Robert Mohr Receives World Class Employee Award

March 7, 2008 | 11:20 a.m. CST

Robert Mohr's exemplary work ethic and concern for the safety and welfare of his co-workers has earned him the Engineering Track Program's World Class Employee award. Mohr is a system welder helper with the 8515 System Curve Gang.

"He's had to face seemingly insurmountable personal challenges and has done so with determined resolve."

– Steve White, manager-track programs

"He has always maintained and demonstrated a team approach and positive attitude when presented with the most difficult challenges," said Steve White, manager-track programs. "Mr. Mohr is well-versed in all aspects of the job and his expertise is always made available to less-experienced employees. This is always done with a smile.

"He's had to face seemingly insurmountable personal challenges and has done so with determined resolve," White added. "He is an inspiration to me and other crew members who have had the privilege to know and work with him."

Mohr began his railroading career in 1972 and has been injury-free all 35 years.

World Class Employee award recipients are selected by a committee of Engineering Department program directors.
