UP Announces Management Changes in Engineering

(01:51 p.m. CDT) Effective June 1, Bill Wimmer has been promoted to the position of vice president-Operations. Succeeding him as vice president-Engineering will be David Connell. Bill Van Trump will serve as senior assistant vice president-Engineering, and will also lead the Engineering Department's Total Cost of Ownership process. Todd Wimmer will assume Connell's previous position as assistant vice president-structures and maintenance, and Pat Meriwether will assume Todd's responsibilities as general superintendent-transportation services of the Portland Service Unit.
