12 Consecutive Injury-Free Months
Supply Department Reaches Safety Milestone
June 4, 2009 | 01:20 p.m. CDT
Total Safety Culture (TSC) principles, pride and good working relationships led Supply Department employees systemwide to achieve 12 consecutive injury-free months on May 25, 2009.
"Visit any of our facilities and you'll see the pride we take not only in our physical plant, but within the relationship between managers and their employees."
– Gary Zaversnik, general director-Warehouse Operations
Both Omaha and field employees can take credit for their outstanding performance. "Our relatively small work groups have embraced TSC and its concepts," said Gary Zaversnik, general director-Warehouse Operations. "Visit any of our facilities and you'll see the pride we take not only in our physical plant, but within the relationship between managers and their employees."
Zaversnik also recognized the following locations for their exceptional injury-free performance:
- Roseville, Calif., Warehouse – nearly 26 years
- Desoto, Mo., Warehouse – 23 years
- Council Bluffs, Iowa, Hinkle, Ore., and Los Angeles supply operations – 10 years
- N. Little Rock, Ark. – nearly 7 years (Supply's largest facility)
"We are blessed with great employees who do a fantastic job, while working safely for our internal customers," Zaversnik said. "Looking forward, we'll continue looking out for one another to remain injury free."
