UP Discusses Ag Opportunities

Soy Transportation Coalition members met with several members of Union Pacific's Marketing and Sales grain team in Omaha today, discussing UP's role in agricultural transportation.

The Soy Transportation Coalition provides information and education on behalf of the U.S. soybean industry on shipping and transportation issues. It works to ensure that industry stakeholders maintain access to a transportation system that offers cost effective, reliable and competitive service to meet short-term needs and prepare for the future.

Following a recap of the railroad's franchise, Bill Eilbracht, general director-logistics, discussed its opportunities, efficiencies and challenges, before the group toured the Harriman Dispatching Center.
